“I found that working with Kate always left me feeling empowered and encouraged and with a sense of direction. I often felt overwhelmed before our sessions but left with clarity and understanding of what steps I needed to take. Mostly due to Kate’s ability to highlight the answers in my own voice and provide a gentle shift in my perspective with care and assurance.”

" As a professional working within the music industry, I am seeing more and more issues with emotional well being and the pressures of the industry, having a service like stronger minds in music with Kate Pearson provides valuable advocacy and guidance, whilst also highlighting the importance of nurturing and compassion in a pressurised working environment."

ABOUT

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

Based in rural West Wales, I am an emotional well-being advisor and advocate committed to encouraging more open conversations around mental health and emotional wellbeing in the music industry. I offer remote support regardless of location.

SPECIALTIES

I provide mental well-being support and help build emotional resilience for people working across the music industry — from enthusiasts and emerging artists to established professionals, producers, engineers, and creative teams.

As the partner of a record producer and co-owner of a recording studio, I understand the unique pressures that often come with a life immersed in music: creative demands, inconsistent schedules, public visibility, financial uncertainty, deadlines, and the emotional weight that can quietly build alongside creative work.

My work creates space for more open and honest conversations around the realities of navigating the music industry, while encouraging healthier approaches to communication, self-awareness, resilience, and long-term sustainability. The aim is not simply to respond at crisis point, but to help reduce preventable stress before it escalates.

Alongside individual support, I also work with music industry professionals and organisations — including managers, labels, publishers, A&R teams, and creative companies — to support more thoughtful and compassionate ways of working within the industry.

This includes reflective advocacy and guidance around communication culture, expectation-setting, artist relationships, and the wider pressures that can affect both creative people and the teams supporting them. The intention is not to place responsibility for somebody else’s wellbeing onto managers or organisations, but to encourage more consistent, compassionate approaches to working relationships across the industry.

Support is available through a licensed internal framework designed specifically for music industry teams, alongside optional consultancy and advocacy support where additional guidance may be helpful.

Whether you are starting out, navigating day-to-day pressures, supporting creative teams, or looking for longer-term strategies for sustainability within music, support and guidance are available — don’t hesitate to get in touch.

EDUCATION

Through dedicated studies leading to a Psychology degree recognised by the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS), I have developed a strong foundation in psychology. I further expanded my expertise with an Introduction to Counselling qualification and specialised training in Adlerian counselling techniques. Additionally, I earned a postgraduate certificate in the Psychology of Mental Health and Well-being, which has deepened my understanding and desire to make a difference within the field of psychology.
